    The Hypersque Simulation

    The workshop incorporates a hands-on simulation where participants dive into a fictitious company called Hypersque. Hypersque, a 30-year-old organization, faces high employee turnover and internal discord between departments. Teams are tasked with diagnosing the issues within Hypersque by selecting and interviewing five key employees. Each interview offers insight into the company’s underlying problems.

    Participants don’t know the five habits before starting the simulation. They conduct their diagnosis based on what they observe, usually pinpointing the issues within collaboration, trust, accountability, engagement, and purpose. It’s only after they’ve completed their diagnosis that we introduce the five habits and give them habit cards to delve deeper into these concepts.

    At the end of the exercise, participants not only diagnose the problems at Hypersque but also reflect on their own team, identifying which of the five habits their team excels at and which areas need improvement. Each participant leaves with a plan to address these areas, ready to apply what they’ve learned in their real work environment.
