PULLING IN THE SAME DIRECTION – Decision Base is the most comprehensive business management simulation in our portfolio. It takes on challenges in all the dimensions of running a business. The simulation is highly dynamic.
Each team will set out their own strategy, and the outcome will depend on this strategy, the execution of the strategy, and the (unforeseen) events in the market, among clients and competitors. It is the ideal simulation to bring cross-functional management teams closer together and develop professionals with a functional expertise to take a wider view.
The Simulation Challenge
The participants will be divided into teams. Each team plays the role of a management team. Every team is made up of the necessary competence areas: finance, production, marketing, and corporate intelligence.
Teams then get to compete for customers in a rough market with fierce competition. In the simulation, they will learn to utilize these statements over a fictional ten-year-period. Working together, they’ll learn more about what financial relationships between department look like. Understanding this makes it much easier for employees to pull in the same direction.
The program centers on building skills within strategic planning, strategy execution, analytical thinking, organizational alignment, and levering financial as well as operational metrics – that guide decision making. Through Decision Base your employees will learn to better utilize the financial statements and ratios to be able to make better business decisions. Decisions that will help boost productivity and profitability.
